IWMB to Develop Walking Trail in Islamabad’s Shah Allah Ditta
According to recent reports, the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) has announced the creation of a new walking trail in the Shah Allah Ditta area to promote tourism in the city.

During the site tour, the IWMB chairman instructed the relevant authorities to develop a plan for the construction of a new route. The area is a part of Margalla Hills National Park (MHNP), however it is not patrolled. According to the supplied information, IWMB will also undertake the required preparations for patrolling this area to prevent illegal land occupancy.
Previously, the 44-kilometer-long Margalla Ridge route, which spans from Shah Allah Ditta to Summa Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was launched in November 2018.

The presence of multiple Buddhist caves near to the shrine of Hazrat Shah Allah Ditta makes Shah Allah Ditta one of the region’s most popular tourist destinations.
In addition, under the auspices of the ministry of climate change, IWMB has created tracks and walking trails for trekkers and visitors in the Margalla Hills.
