KARACHI: The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has invited bids for water connection works in five sectors of KDA Scheme 33, Gulzar-e-Hijri, to support water infrastructure development in the area.

According to a procurement notice published on October 9, 2026, the proposed works cover Sectors 4C, 18C, 19C, 24B and 25B. Interested contractors must submit their bids by November 2, 2026.

The notice marks the start of the bidding process, but it does not confirm that a contractor has been selected or that construction has begun. Details about the project cost, pipeline coverage, water source and completion timeline have not yet been provided.

Improved water connections could support residential use and future development in the targeted sectors. However, the timing and extent of the benefits will depend on the contract award, construction progress and availability of water.

Residents and plot owners should watch for further announcements from the KDA regarding the contract award and implementation schedule. Contractors should review the official procurement documents for bidding requirements before the deadline.
