Karakoram Highway Makes to the List of World 15 Beautiful Roads
Islamabad: Wikicampers, a French travel website, listed the Karakoram Highway (KKH) as one of the top 15 most beautiful highways in the world, describing it as the “perfect environment for most exciting driving adventure,” according to a news source. Due to its captivating and breathtaking backdrop, the website described the route as an ideal tourism destination for visitors from all over the world.

KKH is already well-known for its feat of civil engineering, serving as both a vital commercial route between China and Pakistan and the second-highest paved road in the world. The same was stated in a BBC documentary, which also added that the road was supple, secure, and fully constructed. The online travel agency advised consumers to “gain altitude again by taking the the world’s second-highest asphalt road.
Several travel websites also list the KKH as one of the top tourist destinations, claiming that it offers breathtaking vistas as it traverses the Himalayan, Karakoram, and Hindu Kush mountain ranges.

The Karakoram Mountain Range is traversed by the 1,300-kilometer-long KKH, which links Pakistan and China. It can get up to 7,000 metres in elevation in some areas. It begins at Hasan Abdal and ends at Gilgit-Khunjerab Baltistan’s Pass.
