KDA, KMC Dispute Over Saddar Parking Plaza Ownership Solved
According to the news source, Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah presided over a high-level meeting in Karachi on Thursday to resolve lingering issues with the Karachi Development Authority (KDA) and the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) about parking plazas in Saddar and Bara-Dari.

The subject of Bara-Dari and Saddar parking plazas, over which both municipal authorities have claimed a claim, was reviewed. After hearing both sides of the dispute, the minister urged the parties to end their ongoing litigation.
In addition, the minister ordered the KDA to abandon its claim and transfer the Bara-Dari parking lot to the KMC. Likewise, the parking plaza in Sadar-Karachi was returned to the KDA following an analysis of the properties’ specifics.

CM Shah added that both municipal authorities are concerned with the welfare of the people and should not become involved in legal actions regarding land disputes. The meeting also addressed issues about the city’s advertising locations and the revenue they generate.
According to the specifics, there is a conflict between KMC and District Municipal Corporation (DMC) over revenue, which, according to the minister, should be administered by DMC and split in accordance with the previously established norm.
