Khayaban-E-Firdousi Road to Be Made Signal-Free in Lahore
According to news sources, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has begun developing Khayaban-e-Firdousi Road into a signal-free corridor to address the city’s traffic issues.

The news source also said that the once-congested intersections of Jagawar Chowk and Shadiwal Chowk would be eliminated. As an alternative, five new, broad U-turns will be constructed between the Shaukat Khanam Flyover and Shouq Chowk.
According to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar’s orders, Khayaban-e-Firdousi Road between Raiwind Road and Shouq Chowk would be converted into a signal-free corridor. Allah-Hoo Chowk, 22 years old, is also being rebuilt and divided into a dual road. The carpeting of the roadway is now in progress.
The corridor from Allah-hoo Chowk to Shaukat Khanum Hospital will cost PKR 96.036 million and span an approximate distance of four kilometres.
