KMC, KDA Launches Anti-Encroachment Drive in Karachi
According to news sources, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has begun an anti-encroachment operation against unlawful structures built close to or over stormwater drains in Central and East districts.
According to the information provided, the central district targeted encroachments from Peetal Gali, NADRA Mega Center, and Gulbahar in North Nazimabad. According to the report, the unauthorized structures were also removed from the service roads and pathways.
In addition, the KMC crew reportedly removed grilles, staircases, walls, shutters, and concrete parts installed on pathways and service roads. While cabins and other encroachments were removed outside the NADRA Mega Center, the NADRA Mega Center itself remained unaffected.

On Ameer Khusso Road in the Eastern District, the operation was conducted. The service roads were cleared of children’s swings and other encroachments during this operation.
Sources indicate that unauthorized occupiers have erected permanent constructions on government-owned property. It was disclosed that KDA has 100 amenity plots in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, of which 20 have been released.
