Kohistan Youth to Get Training for Jobs in Dasu Power Project
Mansehra: The district administration has initiated a vocational training programme for the youth of Upper Kohistan who, upon completion of their studies, will be hired for the 4,300 megawatt Dasu hydropower project.

This was revealed by deputy commissioner Arif Yusufzai at a ceremony conducted on Tuesday in Dasu to send off the first group of teenagers for vocational training at an institution administered by the National Logistics Cell (NLC) in Gilgit.
Director Wapda Mohammad Ajaz and district administration officers were also present.

Mr. Yusufzai stated that the training was introduced as part of the livelihood initiative for dam-affected families that was initiated by his government with the financial help of Wapda.
In another development, the Mansehra district government will soon undertake an anti-encroachment campaign in the Kaghan valley as part of the Clean and Green plan of the prime minister.
