KP Government Releases all Funds for Ongoing Projects
On the first day of the fiscal year 2021-22, in an unprecedented step, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government disbursed 100 percent of the approved development money for current projects.
The entire amount of released cash for settled and merged tribal areas was Rs 165 billion.

Mr. Jhagra stated that the release of all authorised monies would assist alter the country’s attitude to financial management.
The minister stated that it was a new measure that would evenly distribute development expenditures throughout the fiscal year and ensure the money were utilised in snowbound regions where construction operations ceased during the winter.
The minister stated that the federal finance minister had also pledged to pay out the remaining arrears of over 10 billion rupees in two installments.

He stated that the events demonstrated, on the one hand, the dynamism of the provincial government’s financial management and, on the other, the justice of the federal government’s treatment of the province.
