KPRA Meets Annual Revenue Target
Peshawar: During the fiscal year 2020-21 (FY21), the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) successfully collected Rs 20,8 billion, achieving its goal.
Despite the devastating impact of the pandemic on economic activity in the province, KPRA’s overall revenue collection increased by 21.6% compared to FY20, when the authority received 17.1 billion rupees.

Last fiscal year, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government provided a substantial tax relief package to the business community by reducing the rates of sales tax on services in 28 distinct industries. Despite the reductions, KPRA was able to accomplish its annual goals by increasing its tax net to include more than 15,000 registered taxpayers.
According to information provided by the authority, each regional office made significant strides in fulfilling its annual revenue and non-revenue goals. The South Region of KPRA was entrusted with collecting Rs 1.5 billion, a goal it surpassed.

Additionally, the Mardan Region exceeded its annual goal of collecting 800 million rupees, while the Northern Region collected 928 million rupees.
In addition, the KPRA exceeded its yearly collecting target for the Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC). The government had instructed the authority to collect 1,300 million rupees from the IDC, but it collected 1,410 million rupees.
