Land Chosen for Phase II of Industrial Estate Without Acquisition
Gujrat: Two hundred acres of land have been selected for phase II of the Gujrat Industrial Estate, but the acquisition procedure has not yet begun.

According to government sources, the area, recognized by the department of land revenue, is located in three villages along the bank of the Upper Jhelum Canal: Saroki, Chak Qazian, and Sheikh Qureshian.

On the recommendation of Federal Minister fThe government has granted Rs 1.3 billion for the development of a new industrial sector, according to Water Resources Minister Chaudhry Moonis Elahi. In addition, 400 million rupees have been given in the development budget for the current fiscal year, confirming the government’s commitment to the project.

A 60-foot-wide road will be constructed in the region, while the 200-foot-wide major boulevard will be constructed.
At least 70 percent of the acquired area may be used for plots, while the remaining will be utilized for additional infrastructure development. The cash approved for the program will primarily be used for site acquisition, boundary wall building, and other essential activities; extra monies may be required for other infrastructure development.
