Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has invited applications for an upcoming commercial plot draw, offering applicants an opportunity to acquire plots in some of the authority’s major schemes across the city.
Applications for the draw will remain open until September 2, 2026.
According to the latest information, commercial plots in LDA Avenue One and LDA City Business Bay will be offered through the draw. The initiative will also include 5-marla residential plots in Johar Town, giving prospective buyers another opportunity to invest in Lahore’s property market.
The development was discussed during a meeting chaired by LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, where senior officials reviewed a range of administrative and development matters, including budget planning, town planning, property auctions, infrastructure projects and progress on LDA City.
LDA Reviews Plot Draw and Development Plans
During the meeting, LDA Director Finance Kashif Imran briefed officials on preparations for the authority’s budget for the upcoming financial year.
The Town Planning Section presented updates on revenue targets and ongoing recovery campaigns, while the Director of Auctions provided details about applications received for the upcoming commercial plot draw.
The LDA has also placed LDA City among its key development priorities for the current financial year. The director general instructed officials to accelerate development work and improve the pace of ongoing projects within the scheme.
Officials were further directed to develop a governance framework aimed at improving the delivery of basic municipal and public services in LDA Avenue One, Jubilee Town and LDA Enclave Scheme.
Action Against Illegal Construction
The Town Planning Wing was instructed to intensify measures against illegal construction and unauthorised commercialisation in areas under its jurisdiction.
The LDA also directed officials to ensure that construction activities during the monsoon season comply with the authority’s approved standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
In addition, the authority plans to initiate development work in other LDA schemes under its Sustainable Development Model during the current financial year.
Opportunity for Lahore Property Investors
The upcoming draw could attract interest from both property buyers and investors seeking commercial plots in established and developing LDA schemes.
Those planning to participate should verify the eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, plot categories and other conditions through official LDA channels before submitting their applications.
With the September 2, 2026 deadline approaching, prospective applicants are advised to complete the application process well in advance.
