LDA Opens Bids for Burki Road, Babu Sabu Interchange Road
Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has solicited bids for two road development projects in Lahore, according to news reports. The two projects consist of the dualization of Burki Road and the construction of highways on both sides of the Babu Sabu Interchange.
According to the article, three companies competed for the PKR 240 million Babu Sabu project, and Yasin & Brothers won the competition by offering 1% less than the projected price. Similarly, Highways Construction won the bid for the dualization of the PKR 400 million Burki Road by offering 1% less for the project. In exchange for the supply of money, both projects were given a six-month deadline.
In September, LDA solicited prequalification offers for the dualisation of Burki Road from the Lahore School of Economics (LSE) to the Babu Sabu interchange, as well as for the construction of roads on both sides of the interchange.

On November 2, seven companies qualified for the PKR 400 million Burki Road infrastructure project and four companies qualified for the PKR 242.7 million Babu Sabu Road construction project. Now that the organizations have been awarded the contract, it is anticipated that the project will be completed within the next six months.
