LDA to Construct Gulab Devi Underpass Affected by Lawyers

Sources indicate that the LDA has chosen to construct chambers on replacement land. The project is anticipated to be completed in two months. In this context, the LDA’s Chief Engineer (II), Mazhar Hussain, has already solicited bids from interested companies. According to press reports, the Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board approved an increase of 24% in construction-related costs for all of the province’s development projects. The government has cited the rise in the cost of construction materials as the rationale for a construction budget hike.

According to news sources, the LDA approved a 20% rise in flyovers and underpasses projects and a 16% increase in the development budget for local bodies. The Punjabi government increased the cost of construction materials in the province. They cited the dollar-to-rupee parity and increasing import and energy costs as price justifications.
