LDA to Present Lahore’s First Anti-Encroachment Helpline
According to media sources, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) is about to introduce the city’s first anti-encroachment helpline.

Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood, Vice Chairman (VC) of the LDA, indicated that the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has built computer software for the procedure and that the anti-encroachment helpline will become operational after the hiring of helpline staff.
After the successful launch of the scheme, Lahore citizens will be able to make complaints against encroachments, which would be digitally assigned to officers and tracked via a portal. Due to the digitization of the file, there is no opportunity for error or delay in responding to complaints.

The LDA has also delegated to the Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) the responsibility of conducting effective anti-encroachment campaigns to improve traffic flow.
Authorities claim that the continuing anti-encroachment campaign will be bolstered by the implementation of a public helpline, which will improve traffic flow and pedestrian walkways along critical roadways.
