The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court ruled that a letter from a registrar regarding a property transfer circulated on social media had no legal merit.
He said the LHC land cannot be transferred to anyone by order of the chief justice of the Supreme Court, but requires a decision by a seven-member management committee.
Notably, at an earlier hearing Chief Justice Khan lamented that the DHA illegally occupied people’s land and that the DHA even took over land owned by the LHC. .

At a recent hearing, Chief Justice Khan said the FIA had taken no action against malicious campaigns against the judiciary as an agency. He also feared that if the system continued to be ignored, the Law of the Jungle would emerge.
DHA attorneys have requested time to provide detailed answers on the matter, and the Chief Justice has postponed another hearing next week.
