Master Plan Finalized for Some Tourists Zones in KP
Mahmood Khan, chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has reportedly finished the master plan and feasibility study for the development of Thandiani in Abbottabad, Mankial in Swat, Ghanool in Mansehra, and Madaklasht in Chitral, according to media sources. This action is taken to boost tourism.
During the discussion, additional information about Integrated Tourism Zones (ITZs) was shared. Madaklasht, Mankial, Thandiani, and Ghanool would be constructed on 540, 754, 640, and 480 kanals, respectively, it was announced.
Importantly, the project director for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism (KITE), Tausif Khalid, said that a reputed Malaysian company, AJM Planning and Urban Design Group (APUDG), provided the master plan to attract tourists.
A resort and a 428-room hotel for tourists, as well as five projects for strengthening infrastructure and other services, are among the six programmes for the development of ITZ in Thandiani that were disclosed when additional information on the master plan was made available.

ITZ in Mankial planned seven projects, including five infrastructure projects, a resort, and a 71-room hotel. In contrast, eight projects, including a resort, a hotel with 382 rooms, and five further projects, were designed for ITZ in Madaklasht. Ghanool ITZ was provided with eight projects, including a 218-room hotel, a resort, and five infrastructure projects.
