Network in Partnership to Digitize Toll Tax Collection Motorways

According to news sources, MasterCard and One Network have formally partnered to digitize the M-tag payment system on Motorway in Karachi.

MasterCard will provide integrated digital payment gateway infrastructure for One Network’s freshly released Apple and Android smartphone apps under the terms of the agreement. In accordance with the agreement reached at the Pakistan Pavilion during the Dubai Expo 2020, motorists will be able to pay, recharge, and track their M-Tag accounts while traveling on the highway.

Representatives of the Frontier Works Organization (FWO), the largest toll collector in Pakistan, and One Network were present at the signing event.

One Network is a local provider of supply chain and intelligent transport solutions, offering Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), Intelligent Transport System (ITS), and Telecommunication Infrastructure Services. It has partnered with the FWO to provide digital payment options for the collection of toll taxes on major roads and highways.
