Media Colony Declared for Peshawar Model Town
According to press reports, the government decided to build a media colony in the proposed Peshawar Model Town, which was declared by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan.
He also disclosed a special gift of PKR 20 million for the Peshawar Press Club (PPC) and an increase of 100% in the first seed funding for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Journalist Welfare Endowment Fund.

These declarations were made at the PPC’s freshly elected council members’ swearing-in ceremony.
The CM also gave instructions to the authorities on how to improve the PPC annual grant-in-aid by amending the statute if needed.
He gave the go-ahead to get a PC-1 ready for the press club’s new digital studio. The chief minister gave the media his word that he was aware of their difficulties and would take the appropriate action to address them.
