Meeting Held on Lahore Road Projects by PM
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan emphasized that urban centers require long-term planning. This long-term planning will enhance city administration, the delivery of public services, and revenue creation.

During a meeting aimed at lowering Lahore’s automobile traffic strain, Mr. Prime Minister declared. He stated that Lahore has enormous revenue-generating potential and stressed exploiting valuable urban sites that are now underutilized and “dead capital.” Similarly to the Ravi Urban Development and Central Business District projects, he urged that further urban developments in Lahore be handled as public-private partnerships.

According to the briefing, the “Expressway from Main Boulevard Gulberg to M2 Motorway” project include an elevated roadway. In addition, he claimed that the Punjab government has already contributed Rs5 billion in the project, which is anticipated to cost Rs61 billion and take 15 months to complete. This renovation will save an average of 30 minutes per day and accommodate 73,000 vehicles per day on the route. Mr. Shaukat Tarin, Mr. Shafqat Mehmood, Mr. Asad Umar, Mr. Fawad Chaudhry, and Dr. Shahbaz Gill are the federal ministers. The conference was also attended by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, provincial ministers, and top bureaucrats.
