Metro Bus to ISB Int’l Airport to Be Made Operational Next Year
According to media sources, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) of Islamabad has indicated that the Metro Bus Service to New Islamabad International Airport will be operating by early next year.

The authorities have instructed consultants to design the missing facilities in order for the bus service to be operational by the deadline. According to the plan, building the Command and Control Centre and acquiring buses would be completed within four months.
It was also disclosed that the CDA intends to build a bus depot at Peshawar Morr, costing PKR 800 million, where buses destined for different routes will be parked in the future. Having a single bus depot will eliminate the need to reinvest in many depots.
In addition, a traffic control center and intelligent traffic management system will be implemented to monitor congestion and avoid infractions of traffic laws.

In addition, the authority has authorized the procurement of steel frames and pre-engineered structures to expedite the construction of the control center and depot.
It is important to note that the National Highway Authority (NHA) will be responsible for infrastructure construction on the Metro Bus Service to New Islamabad International Airport project, while the municipal agency will work on the Peshawar Morr depot.
