Minister for Enhancing Investment in K-P
Omar Ayub Khan, the federal minister for economic affairs, expressed his satisfaction with the speed of project completion and praised the success of ongoing foreign-funded projects in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

The minister requested that the K-P authorities outline their development priorities and funding requirements in order to streamline projects during a meeting with the provincial government to discuss options for increasing public investment and address the province’s development priorities.
The importance of domestic connectivity in maximizing rural and remote areas’ economic potential was also emphasized. As a result, the province’s road system, particularly its farm-to-market highways, has to be improved.

Furthermore, it was noted that as urban populations increase, both in large cities and smaller towns, there is a desire for better municipal services to address environmental and socioeconomic issues.
More investments in urban infrastructure, such as water supply, sanitation, waste management, and streets, are required to create more lively cities.

Both parties agreed to collaborate closely in order to determine the provincial objectives and quickly put projects together.
