Minister Wants Timely Completion of Hospital Projects
Lahore: The Punjab Health Minister, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, has instructed authorities to rigorously adhere to deadlines for ongoing hospital improvement projects in the province’s tehsil and district headquarters hospitals.

The minister evaluated the status of ongoing and current projects at DHQ and THQ hospitals, basic health units (BHUs), rural health centres (RHCs), the Sehat Ghar Programme, trauma and diagnostic facilities.
Ms. Rashid stated that the province’s public hospitals in eight districts are being modernised. She stated that construction was underway on DHQ Hospital Multan and THQ Hospital Taunsa, and Secretary of Health for the South, Ajmal Bhatti, was personally overseeing the projects. She stated that the government was constructing 13 new trauma hospitals in remote locations and upgrading 26 current trauma centres.

The health minister stated that a request for 2,500 empty positions had been submitted to the Punjab Public Service Commission, and the agency had been instructed to expedite the processing of pension cases.
