Mother and Child Block Ganga Ram Hospital to Be Functional
The state-of-the-art 650-bed ‘Mother and Child Block Ganga Ram Hospital’ will open in June 2022, according to Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid.

During her visit to the Mother and Child Block building site, the minister assessed the status and pace of work at several sections before presiding over a meeting of officials.
On Monday, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid spoke during a visit to the Mother and Child Block construction site at Ganga Ram Hospital.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Amir Zaman of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, MS Ganga Ram Dr. Ehteshamul Haq, Project Director Prof. Javed Chaudhry, and other authorities were also present.
The FJMU VC and Project Director provided the Health Minister with a comprehensive briefing. The minister assessed the status and pace of work at various departments before presiding over a meeting of all officials.

Secretary for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Amir Jan, Additional Secretary Dr. Asif Tufail, and representatives from NESPAK, Wasa, and other departments presented to the minister.
The minister of health stated that the project will save thousands of lives, as many mothers die during childbirth.
