MoU Formed to Promote Pakistan’s ICT Industry
Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), the country’s leading organization charged with developing and promoting Pakistan’s ICT industry, and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Ministry of Commerce, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the promotion of Pakistan’s ICT industry for the enhancement of IT/ITeS services.

In the presence of Muhammad Sualeh Ahmad Faruqui, Secretary Commerce, and Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput, Secretary IT, and Telecommunication, Mr. Ahsan Ali Mangi, Secretary TDAP, and Mr. Osman Nasir, Managing Director, PSEB, signed the MOU at the Ministry of Commerce in Islamabad.
This Memorandum of Understanding would also facilitate the construction of a unified Pakistan Pavilion at international expositions and enhance coordination and collaboration among Pakistan’s public sector entities working towards common aims.

Both parties pledged to work diligently to achieve their shared objective of integrating Pakistan’s ICT sector to global ICT value chains. The MoU stipulates that, for each fiscal year, a single Annual Business Plan or calendar of operations must be developed with relevant public and private parties. A strategy will include international and local exhibitions, seminars, webinars, workshops, and outbound and inbound trade missions.
