Mutual Funds Policies for Roshan Digital Account by SECP
Islamabad: According to our sources, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, the Securities Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) loosened the rules for abroad Pakistanis with a Roshan Digital Account (RDA). This account is used to invest in private pension funds and mutual funds. Banks will not need separate licenses to invest in both types of Asset Management Company (AMC)-managed funds.

SECP stressed the need to widen the investor base in order to provide RDA account holders with excellent benefits. In addition, options for abroad Pakistanis to send and invest in Pakistan’s economy will be enhanced. The same requirements for obtaining a license under the Securities and Futures Advisor Regulations will apply to non-RDA account holders.

This campaign was launched after Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the banking institutions to create incentive packages for Pakistanis residing overseas.
