New Investment Strategy Centers on Domestic, Export Markets
Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KPBOIT) has released its investment promotion strategy for 2021-2025. This strategy focuses on projects aimed at serving both domestic and export markets.

KPBOIT worked with IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, to develop the strategy, according to a statement released.
The new strategy is said to focus on actively attracting investment and creating jobs.
It will also generate reinvestment in the state, link foreign direct investment with the domestic private sector to promote business, and minimize losses, layoffs and divestitures to help address the most immediate short-term impacts of Covid-19. It also aims to support new investments to mitigate global warming and promote recovery efforts.

The strategy highlights the need to help investors minimize the impact of Covid-19. To attract new investors, the strategy must be that the global competition for foreign direct investment works now to build capacity and undertake pro-competitive reforms as projects return to normal. said.
