Pakistan’s automotive market is rapidly evolving as buyers increasingly look for vehicles that offer a balance of performance, fuel efficiency, advanced technology, and long-distance practicality. With growing interest in electrified mobility, automakers are introducing new technologies that go beyond traditional petrol and diesel vehicles.
Nishat Group appears to be preparing for its next major move in this direction.
OMODA & JAECOO Pakistan recently launched a teaser campaign featuring the tagline “The REEVolution of Adventure,” hinting at the arrival of a new Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) SUV in Pakistan.
Unlike conventional electric vehicles, REEVs primarily run on electric power while using a small petrol engine to generate electricity when the battery needs recharging. This allows drivers to enjoy the benefits of electric driving without worrying about limited charging infrastructure or range anxiety, making the technology particularly suitable for markets like Pakistan.
The teaser suggests the upcoming model will combine electric performance with the flexibility of extended driving range, offering a practical alternative for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.
Globally, REEV technology is gaining popularity as it bridges the gap between conventional vehicles and fully electric cars. It provides smooth electric driving while maintaining the convenience of a backup power source for longer journeys.
The launch also reflects the changing priorities of Pakistani consumers, who are increasingly considering efficiency, lower running costs, advanced technology, and sustainability alongside traditional factors such as performance and styling.
While Nishat Group has not officially revealed the vehicle or its specifications, the teaser indicates that the company is preparing to introduce another advanced mobility solution to the local market.
More details about the upcoming REEV SUV are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
