Orders Issued to Start Work On Ring Road Rawalpindi & Nullah Lai Expressway

Announcement of orders given to start work on Ring Road and Nullah Lai Expressway

ISLAMABAD, August 23, 2022- Chief Minister Punjab has issued orders to start work on Rawalpindi Ring Road and Nullah Lai Expressway.

Punjab’s newly elected Chief Minister has commanded the government to immediately begin construction on the Nullah Lai Expressway and the Rawalpindi Ring Road. This is another turn in the construction of Rawalpindi’s two most desired projects, the Nullah Lai Expressway and Ring Road Rawalpindi. The project was previously placed on hold by the government due to factors like inadequate funding. The budget for 2022, which was approved in June 2022, included funding for both of these projects, but no steps were done to update them. However, a meeting to examine the Ring Road and Lai Expressway was held on August 8, 2022, and it was presided over by CM Punjab. Other Punjab Government officials also attended this meeting. CM gave the go-ahead to resume these projects after some thought. The chief minister of Punjab commanded the authorities to begin construction on these projects as soon as possible and conserve tax dollars. He also asked that these two roads be finished as soon as possible.
