Pakistan Receives A Grant of Six Billion Rupees from Japan
Japan announced a donation to Pakistan for the construction of a water treatment and distribution system in Faisalabad worth six billion rupees.

The exchange notes were signed in Islamabad by Kuninori Matsuda, the Japanese ambassador, and Noor Ahmed, the secretary of the Economic Affairs Division, according to Radio Pakistan.
Speaking at the event, the secretary of economic affairs said that Pakistan values its friendly relations with Japan and that most regional and global challenges are shared by the two nations.
The Japanese Ambassador further reaffirmed that this is the single greatest humanitarian gift from Japan to Pakistan this year.
Japan agreed last month to give the UNHCR’s programmes and projects in Pakistan for Afghan refugees and host communities a total of $3.7 million.
An agreement to this effect was signed in Islamabad by Noriko Yoshida, a UNHCR representative, and Matsuda Kuninori, the Japanese ambassador to Pakistan.
