Pakistan to Attract $2.5bn Foreign Investment in 2022
Mr. Anjum Nisar, Chairman of the Businessmen Panel (BMP) of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), stated in Islamabad that the increase in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the first half of the current year parallels the improvement in the security situation, indicating that investors have begun returning to Pakistan.

According to the sources, the nation has garnered more than $1 billion in FDI. The government’s attempts to establish an investor-friendly climate have increased FDI by 20 percent.
In addition, he added that the country’s policies had attracted the most investment firms in the region. Pakistan may attract foreign invasions worth $2.5 billion in 2021-22. Moreover, he indicated that it may be difficult to maintain the current rate of FDI inflows over the next six months if Covid-19 continues to cause problems.

The former president of the FPCCI highly regarded the government’s approach to Pakistan’s issues on European markets. There are recommendations for promoting Pakistani goods and a call for trade officials to take use of the prospects presented by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
