Pakistan Values Relations with EU
Army Chief of Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relationship with the European Union (EU) and that it is “enthusiastically looking forward to strengthening a mutually beneficial multi-domain relationship based on shared interests. COAS made the comments during a meeting with EU Ambassador Androula Caminara at Rawalpindi headquarters.
The Secretary of War’s statement was made during a meeting with US Chief Executive Angela Aggerer. The conference is part of the ongoing US effort to seek a political end to the Afghan conflict.

US diplomats met with the Secretary of War a few days after General Kamal visited Kabul with the British Secretary of Defense. Afghanistan’s future is at stake, and despite efforts and the beginning of a troop withdrawal, little to no progress has been made on a peace deal.
The Taliban refused to participate in the peace process after Biden extended the deadline for withdrawing troops.
Pakistan and others have been pressuring the Taliban to participate in the Istanbul Conference, a US initiative to secure a peace deal.
