Pakistan Will Export Halal Meat to China
The Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has urged Pakistan’s government to promote halal meat exports to China.

President of the PCJCCI SM Naveed told the chamber’s export promotion committee that there was a significant gap in the global meat trade that needed to be filled, and that Pakistan could increase its exports and earn foreign currency by promoting its high-quality meat abroad.
Pakistan has the fourth-largest livestock population in the world, with 180 million animals growing at a rate of 4.2% per year, but its exports are underperforming due to a lack of modern techniques and skilled workers.

The head of the PCJCCI argued for enlisting Chinese assistance to gain training, enhance skills, and implement modern procedures in conformity with international standards. According to him, sending beef to China might generate millions of dollars for the economy.
He added that Pakistan’s government is already in discussions with China regarding approving Pakistani beef imports.
