Pakistan’s Nuclear Institution Scientists Wins Awards at IAEA
Pakistani scientists and an institution have received international honours in “recognition of the country’s success in the application of nuclear technology for the accomplishment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, according to a statement released by the foreign minister.

Among the Pakistani recipients of the awards, the NIAB received the Outstanding Achievement Award, a group of four Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) researchers received the Team Achievement Award, and another PAEC researcher was awarded the Young Scientist Award for his work in plant change rearing and related advances, according to a ministry statement.
During the IAEA’s 65th General Conference in September 2021, recipients will be presented with award certificates.

Foreign Office statement: “extensive civilian nuclear uses in Pakistan contribute directly to the well-being of the people and national progress in the areas of public health, medicine, agriculture, industry, and nuclear power generation.”
