PDMA Rebuilds 70 Flood-hit Schools
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has finished the repair of 70 government schools in various sections of the province that were damaged by flooding.

All reconstructed schools have been turned over to the elementary and secondary education department. Similarly, according to a statement made here, the construction of forty more earthquake-resistant schools is underway.
There were 19 reconstructed schools in Swat, seven in Lower Dir, seven in Upper Dir, four in Malakand, five in Shangla, 16 in Nowshera, five in Charsadda, six in Dera Ismail Khan, and one in Peshawar.
By the end of 2017, the PDMA was entrusted with reconstructing the destroyed schools.

Local communities have begun enrolling children in these schools as a result of their renovation.
Shareef Hussain, director general of the PDMA, stated that boundary walls were also created and schools were furnished and supplied with electricity.
At addition, ramps and separate restrooms had been installed in these schools for students with special needs.
