PKR 10 Billion to Be Spent on Attock District Uplift
According to news reports, a representative of the ruling party in Attock, Syed Khawar Abbas Bukhari, stated that the government has authorized a PKR 10 billion development plan for the Attock district in Taxila. This budget is a component of the province’s Annual Development Programme (ADP).

The authorized monies will be used for infrastructure development, healthcare facilities, water and sanitation schemes, and road projects, according to the specifics. Furthermore, according to Bukhari, the project includes the development of the following:
- The route from Boota to Bhatiot in Pindigheb tehsil will be dual-laned.
- Reconstruction of the roads from Attock to Haji Shah and Jhala Khan Chowk to Bahtar
- District-wide improvements to 8,000 public schools
- Work will commence next month on the Rs 78 billion ADB-funded Red Line project.
- Construction of a mother and child hospital with 200 beds
- Establishment of Allama Iqbal Open University Campus orphanage with PKR 400 million
Moreover, he claimed that the government has invested millions of rupees in the development and uplift of the province’s backward and remote areas in an effort to improve the residents’ standard of living.
