Plan by CDA to Address Bylaws’ Violations in Housing Schemes
Instead of cancelling the entire floor plan, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) decided on Wednesday (15 December) to take legal action against the housing society section where the infraction occurred.

According to the CDA’s chairman, Amir Ali Ahmed, the organization’s bylaws will be revised at the upcoming board meeting in order to defend civil rights and oversee housing scheme operators.
In addition, he stated that action will be taken solely against the illegal portion and not the entire scheme. In lieu of bank guarantees, the agency will provide personal guarantees, he noted. In this manner, the owner of the housing development remains liable after the land has been sold.

After getting permission for the floor design, CDA authorities also stated that a number of enterprises had sold all available plots. As a result of the CDA’s cancellation of the floor plan, land purchasers were forced to obtain electricity or refinance their loans. The corporation is required to have a No Objection Certificate (NOC) in order to sell the land.
