Plantation to be Made Mandatory for New Uplift Projects
Peshawar: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has instructed the competent authorities to include plantation as a mandatory component in the PC-Is of all new provincial government projects.

He stated that planting should be incorporated into all growth plans on a fair scale.
According to an official statement, the chief minister issued the command while presiding over a meeting addressing the monsoon plantation program. It examined the initial two-week plantation campaign progress.
The participants were informed that the total aim for the monsoon plantation campaign was 58 million trees and that in its first two weeks, beginning on August 1, a total of 774 different plantation operations were conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The chief minister instructed the necessary departments to ensure the campaign’s 100 percent success. He advocated for the planting of trees along riverbanks, highways, and near irrigation channels, in addition to other designated locations.
