PLRA Launches Digital Payment System for Land Mutation, Fard
According to news sources, the Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has opened an online payment facility for the issuing of fard, land mutation, and other relevant taxes in an effort to streamline and expedite the procedure. The fard, mutation, and registry fees can now be paid online via secure payment channels like as internet banking or ATMs.

The measure was taken to expedite the process of collecting documentation from the appropriate departments and paying fees at banks without long lines. The PLRA app is currently accessible in app stores for mobile devices.
The e-payment system is one of seven e-governance technologies created by the PLRA to make administrative operations more efficient and user-friendly. In addition to satellite land record centres, e-registration, and e-fird, there are more efforts.

Agriculture Minister of Punjab Syed Hussain Jahanian Gardezi met with members of the Punjab Lumberdar Association and decided to resuscitate and reorganise the province’s historic Lumberdari system for tax collection, record keeping, and land administration. The government has agreed to provide 398,400 acres of land to the lumbermen for this purpose.
