PM Khan to Break Ground for Road Project of Islamabad
Islamabad: According to the most recent news sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan will break ground on the Balkasar to Mianwali and Mianwali to Muzaffargarh road project on Saturday. The project is being developed with a public-private partnership structure.

According to the information provided, the length of the road is 415 kilometers: 286 kilometers from Mianwali to Muzaffargarh and 129 kilometers from Balkasar to Mianwali. The National Highway Authority (NHA) will oversee the $13.8 billion road reconstruction project. The federal government would provide PKR 12.4 billion, while NHA would contribute PKR 1.38 billion through a road maintenance account.
The road project is anticipated to be completed within a year. The sources also indicated that the project was divided into ten 40-kilometer sections to ensure timely completion. Once the evaluation of the technical bids for the road project is complete, the finance bids will be opened.

On Monday, PM Imran is also anticipated to inaugurate the Hakla-Dera Ismail (D.I.) Khan Motorway. It is under the western orientation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The four-lane north-south highway will begin at Hakla on Peshawar-Islamabad (M-1) near the Fateh Jang interchange and end at Yarik near D.I. Khan, according to the leaked project information. This initiative will reduce travel time from five hours to two hours and thirty minutes.
