PM Order Speedy Work in SEZ to Encourage Chinese Investors
According to news reports, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has ordered the provision of facilities to Chinese investors in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) across the country.

The prime minister stated at a high-level meeting to evaluate progress in various SEZs that it is essential to provide all amenities, including gas, electricity, and land development, in order to attract more Chinese investors and companies to establish industries in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Khan stated that an increase in SEZ development and industrialization will generate revenue and create employment opportunities for Pakistan’s youth, who make up 65 percent of the total population.
According to sources, the prime minister was informed about the ongoing development of the nation’s 27 SEZs. The construction of five SEZs, including Dhabeji in Sindh, Rashakai in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bostan in Balochistan, Allama Iqbal Industrial City in Punjab, and Gwadar in Balochistan, is reportedly proceeding rapidly.
Moreover, the attendees were informed that a single-window centre has been established in each SEZ and by the CPEC Authority in order to facilitate investors and resolve issues related to land colonisation.
