PM Receives Briefing on ‘Strategic Plan for Mineral Development’
During a review conference in Islamabad, the petroleum secretary, Dr. Arshad Mahmood, reportedly briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan on the “Strategic Plan for Mineral Development.”
It was made apparent that the strategic plan requires technical outreach, financial incentives, the development of indigenous human resources, and the coordination of provincial and federal programmes.
In order to profit from natural resources and minerals, Prime Minister Khan directed the necessary authorities to accomplish the Mineral Development Framework’s objectives (MDF). He emphasized that the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) that are being established as part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) should receive tax breaks, electricity, gas, and other amenities (CPEC).

The prime minister went on to say that the mineral industry has a great deal of promise and delivers lucrative returns on investment through encouraging overall economic growth.
PM Khan also directed the designation of a liaison officer to facilitate communication between the federal and provincial administrations. The prime minister issued the command to achieve the objectives within the allocated time frame.
