PMC to Introduce Golden Handshake Scheme for Employees
Islamabad: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) is thinking of implementing a mandatory golden handshake (CGS) and voluntary severance (VSS) programme for its long-term workers.

The Medical and Dental Council has the exclusive authority to name the commission’s members, workers, and officials, according to PMC meeting minutes that Dawn has access to. The clause also gives the council the authority to implement a CGS and VSS.

The VSS and CGS paper was presented to the PMC council by the member administration for review, according to the minutes.
On the other hand, the paper said that the council was notified that, in light of the grading system established at the fifth council meeting, a little adjustment was necessary to the administrative staff’s compensation bracket (Grade A-6).
A copy of the Act states that the PMC will have three parts: the National Medical and Dental Academic Board, the Medical and Dental Council, and the National Medical Authority.
