– Obtain a minimum score of 550 in each subject of SAT-II.
– Pass a foreign MCAT/UCAT with at least 50% marks in Biology, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Physics in a Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
Additionally, the policy requires students to achieve at least 50% in the MDCAT conducted in Pakistan. The MDCAT result is valid for three years for those who complete their intermediate education in Pakistan.
Furthermore, students must ensure that their chosen institution is listed on the PMDC’s approved institutions list.
The qualification must be in allopathic medicine from an institution recognized by the relevant regulatory body in the country and accredited by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) or listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
Under the policy, students must secure a PMDC Student Registration Certificate before starting their studies at a foreign medical institution. The medical program must include at least 6,200 hours of instruction, with a minimum attendance of 80%, spread over five years. Moreover, students must spend at least six months learning the local language in countries where the medium of instruction is not English. They must also pass the National Registration Examination conducted by the PMDC to receive full registration.
Students must submit their residence details and contact numbers for their study country before going abroad. They are also required to obtain a multiple-entry visa valid for the entire duration of their studies.
