President Asks Industrialists to Offer Jobs to Special Persons
Islamabad’s president, Dr. Arif Alvi, has urged businessmen and industries to hire women and individuals with special needs.

He stated that people with disabilities made up 12 to 14 percent of the country’s population and that they needed to be economically uplifted by providing them with jobs and teaching them marketable skills with the specific participation of the business sector.
The group informed the president of SCCI’s export potential and contributions to the country’s socioeconomic development.

The president told the group that the government was focusing on the empowerment and financial inclusion of youth, women, and people with disabilities, and had earmarked Rs100 billion under the Kamyab Jawan Programme to assist them in establishing their own enterprises.
