President Launches Roshan Apna Ghar scheme in UAE
President Arif Alvi launched the Roshan Apna Ghar scheme in the United Arab Emirates on Monday in an effort to entice Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs) to invest in the country’s real estate sector.

According to an official statement, during his first official visit to the UAE, Alvi hoped that NRPs would take full advantage of the Roshan Apna Ghar programme.
He was opening a property exhibition for UAE-based NRPs that was organised by Pakistani banks offering Roshan Digital Account (RDA) in collaboration with builders and developers to showcase their products offered under RDA.
The initiative of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) enables NRPs to purchase, construct, or renovate homes in Pakistan using their own funds or bank financing.

The president stated that the central bank, with the assistance of commercial banks, has provided NRPs with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to purchase a home, which was previously extremely challenging for a variety of reasons.
Dr. Reza Baqir, governor of the SBP, stated that since its launch in September of last year, RDA has been a resounding success, attracting over $2.5 billion and connecting over 250,000 NRPs under a single umbrella.
