Divisional Commissioner Mussarat Jabeen has directed all relevant departments to speed up the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and complete pending legal formalities for private housing schemes awaiting approval from the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA).
The directive was issued during a review meeting chaired by the commissioner to assess the approval process and address obstacles delaying the clearance of private housing projects.
During the meeting, FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhary informed participants that several housing schemes remain pending because the concerned departments have yet to issue the required NOCs and complete other legal requirements.
The commissioner instructed all relevant institutions to improve interdepartmental coordination and finalize outstanding approvals on a priority basis. She emphasized that timely approvals would help residents gain quicker access to essential utilities and civic services, including electricity and natural gas.
Mussarat Jabeen also directed the deputy commissioner to closely monitor private housing schemes undergoing the FDA approval process and ensure that issues causing delays are resolved without unnecessary hold-ups.
In addition, the commissioner stressed the importance of public safety by ordering authorities to ensure that all sewerage manholes within private housing schemes are properly covered and that additional safety measures are implemented where needed. She warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found negligent in cases leading to the loss of life or property.
