Preparations for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) closing ceremony are nearing completion, with rehearsals already in full swing ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated final, league CEO Salman Naseer confirmed.
Speaking about the arrangements, Naseer said that work on the stage and other ceremony-related setups is progressing smoothly, with final touches now being applied.
He also encouraged fans to arrive at the stadium early — ideally by 6:30pm — to fully enjoy the closing ceremony and pre-match festivities without missing any part of the action.
Fans Advised to Arrive Early for Smooth Entry
Naseer emphasized the importance of early arrival, noting that it would help avoid last-minute congestion and ensure a smooth entry process for spectators.
Given the excitement surrounding the final, a large turnout is expected, making early arrival crucial for fans wanting to secure their seats comfortably.
Winning Team to Celebrate with City Trophy Tour
Adding to the excitement, Naseer confirmed that the PSL 11 champions will take the trophy on a celebratory tour of their home city after the final. This initiative will give local supporters a chance to join in the celebrations and witness the trophy up close.
Strong Crowd Response Boosts Tournament Atmosphere
Reflecting on recent matches, Naseer praised the impressive fan turnout during the qualifier in Karachi. He described the response as highly encouraging, noting that attendance levels surpassed expectations and created a vibrant atmosphere inside the stadium.
At one point, the crowd grew so large that stadium gates had to be temporarily closed to manage the influx and ensure safety.
PSL 11 Nears Thrilling Conclusion
The tournament is now entering its final stage, with Hyderabad Kingsmen facing Islamabad United in Eliminator 2. Hyderabad advanced after defeating Multan Sultans, while Islamabad were pushed into the eliminator following their loss to Peshawar Zalmi in the qualifier.
Zalmi have already secured their spot in the final and will take on the winner of Eliminator 2 in what promises to be an exciting showdown on Sunday.
