Punjab Budget 2021-22: RS 1.45 B Earmarked for Tourism Sector

According to news sources, the Punjab government has allocated PKR 1.45 billion for tourism, mining, and minerals, indicating a 231% increase in the tourist budget.

According to the budget document, seventeen new initiatives and fourteen ongoing programmes have been presented. Here are the budget allocation’s specifics:

750 million Pakistani rupees have set aside for North Punjab

Reserved for Central and South Punjab at PKR 350
The ongoing schemes have been given PKR 1.081.425 billion and are anticipated to be completed by 2023.
New plans will be funded with PKR 1,064,000,000,000, and the projects are anticipated to be completed by 2023.
In addition, the government of Punjab would prioritise both site rehabilitation and new initiatives. Campaigns for cleanliness are also included in the plans. Consequently, several sites and racks will be cleansed.

In addition, the government plans to build adventure parks. Proposed is the Soon Valley-District Khushab Adventure Park and Parkway Project. Moreover, the government plans to construct a water park in Jhang.
