The Government of Punjab has declared a public holiday on May 1 in observance of Labour Day, issuing an official notification for a province-wide closure.
According to the announcement, all government and private offices, along with educational institutions, will remain closed across Punjab, including Lahore, on Friday.
The Government of Sindh has also announced a public holiday for the same occasion, extending the observance to another major province. Meanwhile, the federal government is expected to release a nationwide notification confirming the holiday across Pakistan.
Labour Day is observed each year on May 1 to honor workers and recognize their contributions to economic and social development. The day is traditionally marked by public holidays and official events throughout the country.
