Rawal Dam Flyover to be Opened in 2 Months by Chairman CDA
Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed has ordered the opening of the Rawal Dam Chowk Flyover and 7th Avenue bridge within the next two months, on Wednesday, December 22.

The chairman, accompanied by representatives of the National Logistics Cells (NLC) and CDA officials, reportedly instructed the contractors to expedite the building of the project. Consequently, the flyover and 7th Avenue Bridge could open in February or early January. Initiated in July 2021, the Rawal Dam interchange and 7th Avenue interchange projects are intended to regulate traffic from Rawalpindi and the adjacent areas traveling to Islamabad.

Additionally, the chairman emphasized that the initiatives are essential for traffic load management in one of the city’s most congested locations. Mr. Amir Ali also visited IJ Principal (IJP) Road, where he inquired about the project’s specs and completion date. He stated that the 4.9 billion PKR projects will be finished by the June 2022 deadline. These initiatives would improve the flow of traffic between Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
